Bob Bailey workshop learning - Part 4
1. All training is operant conditioning. It may not be a systematic use of it, but it's all OC.
2. " Any trainer, using any method, can train any animal to do any behavior, given enough time."
3. Behaviour can be measured. It's not what we 'think' is happening, it's what we can measure.
4. When we're training are we really measuring or just guessing?
5. Animals reflect their trainers. Be uncomfortable. Stretch yourself. The key to changing an animal's behaviour is changing your behaviour.
6. If you are training badly and the animal searches about and finally figures it out - THE ANIMAL did it, not you.
7. Animals will tell us - "I could learn this faster if you did something differently."
