Prioritise Prevention

Updated: Jun 9

It can be really hard to take prevention of behaviour problems seriously, because prevention focuses on the invisible.

You can't see a problem in the present, so why should you believe it could be lurking in your future?

The dog owners who are ALL ABOUT prevention have probably had major issues with previous dogs. They never want to have those problems again.

It's really important and valuable to learn from experience.

It can also be useful (and a lot less painful) to learn from other people's experiences.

Research tells us that as well as having lots of positive experiences, puppies should NOT have negative experiences.

What is negative and just how intense it is will vary according to the puppy, so choose your puppy with care and get to know them very well. Then adjust life experiences to fit their needs and abilities.

Please prioritise prevention.

You have nothing to lose and everything to gain.
